About the Author
The author is a longtime fan of fireplaces, having grown up with a wood fireplace that was used heavily during bitter Midwest winters. Soon after marriage, he and his lovely wife bought a home in the Chicago area where they installed glass doors on the existing wood fireplace and there enjoyed times with friends and family. Most recently, they have relocated to the Dayton area where they are enjoying the warmth and ambiance provided from two gas burning fireplaces in their home.
